I’ve been a Watercolor photographer for over 18 years. My second time photographing this sweet family. So excited to meet their new baby. I love watching my families continue to grow. My favorite part about this job. Click here to go check out more sessions from our favorite place to shoot, Watercolor. You can also check out my favorite restaurant to eat there, Fish Out of Water. There are so many great restaurants and shops in this area. Watercolor is such a gorgeous location for your best family vacation. Katelyn and her family chose the evening session which is 5:45pm. Our last session we photographed their family at the beach so this was a great option this year. The gorgeous flowers and the cute little bridges in this park make it such a perfect spot for family photos. Being a Watercolor photographer gives me so many backdrop options for your session too.

Choosing a park for your family photos offers a wealth of benefits, creating a natural and relaxed setting that truly captures the essence of your family. Here’s a breakdown of why a park is an excellent choice:

  1. Natural and Beautiful Backdrops:

Variety: Parks offer diverse scenery, from lush greenery and blooming flowers to towering trees and serene ponds. This variety allows for a range of stunning backdrops within a single location.
Natural Light: Outdoor settings provide ample natural light, which is ideal for photography. Natural light creates soft, flattering images that enhance skin tones and add depth to your photos.
Seasonal Charm: Parks change with the seasons, offering unique photo opportunities throughout the year. Whether it’s the vibrant colors of autumn leaves, the blooming flowers of spring, or the lush greenery of summer, each season adds its own special touch.

  1. Relaxed and Comfortable Atmosphere:

Freedom to Move: Parks provide plenty of space for families to move around and interact naturally. This freedom creates candid and genuine moments that capture your family’s true personality.
Kids Can Be Kids: Children can feel more at ease in a park setting, allowing them to run, play, and explore. This natural behavior leads to authentic smiles and joyful expressions.
Less Stress: The relaxed atmosphere of a park can reduce stress for both parents and children, making the photography session more enjoyable for everyone.

  1. Opportunities for Candid Moments:

Natural Interactions: Parks encourage natural interactions between family members, such as walking hand-in-hand, playing games, or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Capturing Genuine Emotions: The natural setting allows photographers to capture genuine emotions and expressions, resulting in photos that truly reflect your family’s bond.
Creating Lasting Memories: Candid moments captured in a park setting create lasting memories that you’ll cherish for years to come.

  1. Fun and Engaging Experience:

More Than Just Photos: A park photography session can be a fun and engaging experience for the whole family, turning it into a memorable outing.
Exploring and Discovering: Parks offer opportunities for exploration and discovery, adding an element of adventure to your photo session.
Creating Positive Associations: A positive and enjoyable experience during the photo session will result in happier and more natural-looking photos.
In essence, a park provides a natural, relaxed, and fun environment that allows for authentic family photos.
